My lovely is arranging her wedding for the end of June. I have decided to have a bridal shower for her at our place. Her favorite flowers have always been daisies & carnations. I went to the neighboring farmers market the day before the shower & obtained large bunches of daisies and carnations to make flower arrangements for the shower. I had gone to the floral shop the week before to purchase flowers, but after seeing the how much they cost I decided to create them myself. The florist is the one that suggested that I go to the farmers market to purchase the flowers, especially since they were both in season. I thought it may be like a flea market as well, and I could get some wholesale wedding favors. By buying the flowers that were in season I was able to spend even less.
When I got back home from the farmers market I cut the stems of the daisies & carnations to different lengths and made floral arrangements in three crystal vases to place around the house. I had enough flowers left to do a petite arrangement for the bathrooms. It is always a nice touch to place freshly cut flowers in the bathroom when you're entertaining. When you do your own flower arrangements you can use your own vases, which adds to the personalized touch.
The morning of the bridal shower I checked the arrangements to see if they required more water. They were still appearing fresh & the bright colors of the flowers made the rooms feels warm & homey.
My niece enjoyed the lovely and lovely gifts that the guests had brought. & she hadn't even seen the wholesale wedding favors I bought yet!
